@cold: Similar to previous years, I think they send all the letters at once (both rejection and waitlist).

I am more curious on what order they interview people (i.e. people invited a month ago vs. people invited a day ago). Any insight?

Are you only waitlisted if you have interviewed? Or do they waitlist some people without an interview?

I struggled with even posting this because I don't really think these boards are helpful or good for one's mental health, but, after stalking these things for weeks I feel duty bound to also report that I got a Stanford interview invite today (wednesday).

I seem to fall in line with the other profiles who got interviews today - high gmat, male, average GPA from a HYPS, and finance background. presumably they're whittling us down to one token representative... id wish you all good luck but you're still my competition :)

To everyone else - I know people who were incredibly smart who only got interviews at one of H, S, or W, and some morons who got into all three - it really is a crapshoot. I was flat out rejected by Harvard. So was Warren Buffett.

Just got my interview invitation! I was losing all hope and surely didn't expect to receive it on Sunday PST. Anyone has heard the AdCom has sent out invites on weekends before?

I got my interview invite on Sunday, too! I was standing in line at the grocery store and it totally caught me off guard-- but in a good way. I had my interview yesterday (Wednesday) and was totally blown away by how engaging and charismatic my interviewer was. Hopefully I impressed her too!

Hi, quick update for people like me who did not have any luck with the invites yet.

I spoke with the Admissions Officer like 10 minutes back. They said that the interview invites will keep going out until 15th Dec.

So, I am not saying that this is something to be happy about but yeah, just keep a watch on your inbox. You never know :).
