The word count does not include the essay topics, right? Otherwise, I will have some more work to do (50 words or so)...

Finally submitted the application after lot of editing :) . Really glad to get it over with and satisfied with the amount the work that I put in. I started 6 months back with my Gmat planning and ended with submitting application for Stanford.

How is it going for others ?

So I got this reply from Stanford after I submitted my application:

"We hope to interview between 800 and 1,200 applicants this year, and offer admission to between 400 and 500 candidates. We expect to interview all candidates admitted to the MBA Program. "

Is Stanford planning to increase class size ?

I think the 400-500 acceptances is to account for a yield <100%. Some of those acceptances will choose to go to other schools, surprisingly enough :)

They say that your "responses" should not exceed 1800 words, which in my opinion does not include the original question. I submitted a document with 1,810 words (including the questions).

Did anyone notice that the Stanford public policy joint degree wasn't listed as an option this year? Does anyone have an idea as to what happened? Maybe you can only apply after being a first-year at GSB?

I agree, I submitted at around 1850 including the questions late last night! I know it's crazy to feel confident with an admit rate like at Stanford, but I still feel good about my chances!

I'm calling it now: I don't think I'll even get an interview for Stanford. =(

My undergrad life sucked: low gpa, no EC, nothing... i basically didn't do anything in college.

This articled just tore the last shred of hope I had in me:

Why would that article destroy hope? Fewer applications should make it easier for you to get in.

just cuz of the comment on the upward trend of GPAs for admits.

Retract your statement, bud! A little optimism goes a long way. I'd hate to see anyone around here giving up already.

Submitted for Round 1!
My resume heading was cut out, but I did not notice it before submitting. Now they have my resume without my name on the first line. Will they throw my application out with this? Is my hope dimmed?
Have anyone heard of such error before? I really want to kick myself :?

Submitted for Round 1. I too had technical issues. Only the first of my essays was uploaded and not all of them. perhaps it was some glitch in the PDF conversion software or the uploading system? I emailed my essays to Stanford just in case. Hopefully they can resolve this issue ASAP.
