Haven’t submitted the application yet.
However, I just got a follow up from the adcom that the sent scores are processed after the deadline & I don’t have to worry about it. So I guess I’m good?

USCIS release update

https://www.uscis.gov/newsroom/alerts/h-1b-faq

What that means for COS (Change of Status) vs. Consular:

Both COS (F-1 → H-1B inside U.S.) and consular H-1Bs use the same petition form (I-129).

Since USCIS processes both as “new petitions” when it’s your first time getting H-1B, the fee attaches at filing.

The FAQ doesn’t say “at entry” anymore → it clarifies employer pays at filing, not the worker at the airport.

waives the 250 dollar application fee that was getting waived either way by attending fairs, candidates employers get slapped with 100k fee and a upcoming 150k wage cap. Don't need a MBA to determine what will be net effect there i guess. but nice gesture regardless

Sometimes it seems schools deploy application fee waivers to boost application volume and lower admit rates, which makes them look more selective in rankings. Meanwhile, the growth of GMAT/GRE waivers changes who submits scores: domestic applicants are more likely to use waivers, while many international applicants (especially from South & East Asia) still apply with high scores. That mix can push the reported median test score upward, so the published class profile—particularly the median GMAT—can look stronger than the true distribution of admits. The result is a perception gap between the glossy stats and on-the-ground reality.

Tepper employment report in 2024 is a similar excersise. showed 81 percent rate at 3 months whereas actual rate is close to 65 to70

not seeking employment started company or continuing education are usally those who cant find job but reports dont count them

out of 108 internationals 6 were company sponsored rest i count as job seekers

out of them 68 had job at 3 months

so calculate rate at 3 months accordingly

also only 58 reported salaries out of 68 so 10 didnt that means either they dont have job or they are really underpaid since i think its a student response survey

so good outcomes rate given most have big debt at high rate is 58 out of 102 and this is from 2024 in 25 will see if it got better or worse effect of 100k fee will be in 26 report and i doubt it is getting better

similarly emory had 80 percent plus employment at 3months but for internationals figure was 66 percent for internationals its almost becoming or wikll become soon a 50 50 chance at landing job compared to domestics who will fare better
