I dont think there are any clear procedures to follow after submitting the application. But here is what I would suggest:
-Stay in touch with students that you talked to. If you have not talked to anyone during your research stage, I would still start building those relationships now. They can share a lot of info about the program and you can use it in your interview.
- One student gave me advice to talk to adcoms. I believe you can schedule personal meetings with most of them. I personally didnt follow that advice. But I did get waitlisted xD so might be worth trying that. Just be sure to be prepared and show genuine interest by asking good questions.
