Please add to the roll call: F/25/GPA 3.6 from top 10/GMAT 750/4.5 years work experience in food wholesale industry/Russian

I applied on January 15th, and my transcripts arrived on the 18th. Haven't heard a word from the committee yet. :-(

I'm applying as an International student though - maybe that's the reason for additional delay? I'm thrilled for everybody who interviewed and heard back so quickly, but it's a little discouraging to have heard nothing in a whole month!

I really wouldn't worry too much. I was in the same boat as you, and though most GMATclub members told me Texas interviews just about everyone who are in the middle 80% GMAT range, I still fretted. However, about a month later I received an interview to invite, which I completed last Friday. I'm now, like many people, waiting on a final decision.

Also, I'm assuming the committee might still be trying to catch up from all the applications they received over the winter break. I submitted all my stuff Dec 18 and didn't hear back until late January.

Just notified via email, 20k scholarship (5k per semester).

Good luck to all still waiting!
Congrats! I read earlier that $10k was the max they give out- so you 've beat that:)

Congrats texasorbust on the scholarship. scholarship + in-state, makes McCombs a steal.

$10/yr is the max.

Hi all,

Long-time lurker, thought I would add my two cents.

I submitted my application on Nov. 1 but didn't get my transcripts in until December. UTexas status check showed them as missing until end of January. After many phone calls and emails, I eventually figured out that my undergrad institution had my name slightly different than what I had applied to McCombs under. So a word of advice to the few I saw whose documents have not been processed as of yet...verify the information on the source is the same as the destination.

Anyway, add me to the roll call. Application technically complete 12/17/09. Currently forwarded to the Graduate Committee for review.

Age 24
GPA 3.7

The 80% gmat range invited for an interview made me a little upset actually. so it seems that we have very low chances of admission even if we are invited to interview. does anyone have any idea? what percent of the interviewed are admitted?

I don't know where people are getting their information.

Applicants (admitted and denied) who were interviewed: 54 %

Applicants who were accepted to the most recent class: 23 %

hmmm that's also interesting- so of the interview invites, 23%/54% = 43 % approximately of the interviewed is accepted? that's not so bad I think

Had my interview. It went pretty well I think. Odd question:

If you were at a cocktail party what would be the one thing you would tell someone you met?

Also:

If you had two plane tickets where would you go and who would you take?

Neither was difficult...in fact, I sort of liked them.

Here's to the waiting game!

I think everyone on here has already interviewed with the exception of bigdre(?) and yourself. Could be due to international status. I promise the wait AFTER the interview is just as bad...
