Not yet. Waiting...

Meet - Tuck has it mentioned on the website that they don’t provide early decision on request but can you ask Uni of Toronto to wait for a couple weeks?

Hi,

I’m applying to Tuck and seeking clarification regarding the waiver for the English Language proficiency test. My bachelor’s degree was completed in India in English medium however, English is not the sole medium of instruction in the University for this Degree. Tuck’s portal has the below wording for the English Language Proficiency Test Waivers:

"You qualify for a waiver if you have earned a bachelor’s degree from an institution where English is the sole language of instruction."
(The word ’sole’ is making it tricky to interpret)

Does this qualify me for the waiver ?

Thanks in advance for the response!

Its best to ask Tuck directly. In case you need to take TOEFL, you will have the time right now, but may not find the slots later

I think you should join slack a platform created by Tuck to ask all admission related questions.

You have the transcripts that say English was the medium of instruction?

Hey @imbguru ,

The best way would be to reach out to Tuck’s adcom via email or their inquiry portal, and provide details about your degree and institution. Mention that your courses were completed in English and request confirmation on whether this meets their criteria. You shall also consider submitting additional documentation, such as a letter from your university confirming English as the primary medium of instruction. Good luck!

Got it! Thank you everyone. I have dropped a note to Tuck’s admission office seeking clarification on the same.

I’ll share the update as soon as I get the response from AdCom

Just got the confirmation. If the coursework was conducted entirely in English, then all set. No requirement to submit English Proficiency Test.

It’s stated on their MBA application requirements page as well.
