Eeegads that’s a little depressing, on top of the jump last year.
agreed. Also, two other notable things. 1) He said essays most likely will change next year. They have stayed the same for 6-7 years now, and the team will be working on new ones.
2) (This was a shock to me) but they prefer "credit bearing" courses if you have low-gpa instead of things like MBAMath. He didn’t really seem to like MBAMath (even though it was created by Tuck’s faculty).

Have all invites for R1 (non-guaranteed) been sent out? Any hope for people who haven't heard back?

Hey! The interview was quite conversational. These were some of the questions asked:

1. Small Intro and Walk me through your resume
2. Why MBA, and ST/LT Goals
3. Why Now and Why Tuck
4. How do you plan on leveraging the resources (cont. from your answer for why tuck) at Tuck to achieve your goals? Which aspect are you excited about/eager to participate in?
5. What sets you apart, how are you going to contribute to Tuck? Explain in detail.
6. One achievement that you’re proud of..
7. Describe a feedback that you’ve given and one that you’ve taken, how did you go about the entire process?
8. 2 strengths and 2 weaknesses

There were a couple follow-up questions here and there, based on the answers I gave.

How does adcom look at people who apply guaranteed vs non guaranteed interveiw application? I have mixed thoughts so wondering.

I heard from an admissions committee member that both interviews are equally valued.

Is 324 a good enough GRE score for a person with 3 YOE on admission?
It kind of doesn’t really work that way. They are separate categories. The GRE is intended to establish academic preparedness. They would also be taking a look at your GRE quant specifically and whether or not you have good undergraduate grades in quantitative subjects to make sure you can pass classes (suffiency) They will be taking a look at the holistic picture of your academic preparedness.

The score you need somewhat relates to how overrepresented or diverse you are in the application pool (competitiveness) If there are a lot of people with a similar work background or ethnicity, then it has an upward pressure effect on the test score you need to be competitive because the admissions people can cherry pick. If somebody from the same country with a 325+ applies with same or better leadership/impact, work ex, community contributions, diversity quotient (female, sexual orientation) they will pick them.

So required GRE relates to how you stand out from other Chinese women (or whatever applies) in terms of these factors outlined above. Hope this helps ❣️
