I received their email a while back, and they said they couldn't pinpoint a specific part of my application to improve upon. Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing. I don't expect any major updates on my application at this point that could swing me over to the admit bucket, so I'm pessimistic.

I received the same feedback, but I view it as a positive. It means your application was clear, they just want to see what the R2 applicant pool looks like, as well as R1 enrollment yield, before making a decision.

I don’t know the yield %. But I do know that Tuck receives WAY more applications in R2. So that’s why we’re more likely to get waitlisted in R1. They want to see how impressive their R2 applicant pool is before making decisions on us.

When is Tuck likely to release waitlist decisions for international applicants, as releasing in R3 would be too late?

MikeScarn, I think you’re right. The director said that during an event that they receive more applications in R2.

momoshawarma, If you are waitlisted in R1, your application will be reviewed again in R2. It’s possible that you will be admitted in either R2 or R3, but no one can predict that now. Anyways, you will receive a notification on the R2 decision date

Is it a bad sign if the adcon member you’ve been talking to not replying email for almost 2 weeks?

I reached out to one of the adcom members twice throughout my R1 application, to ask specific questions and make updates. I contacted the same adcom member again to schedule a call, after receiving my waitlist decision.

I understand it’s a busy time for the adcom, especially with the COVID surge in January. But I hope I didn’t do anything wrong (I believe I didn’t) like reaching out more often than I should have and giving them a negative impression.

Any clue as to when we would hear back? After all admits on 3/18 or later in the cycle assuming waitlisted with interview.
