I wouldn't read too much into that since your interviewer doesn't have insight into your full application. It probably says more about your interviewer's style than how it went. The link below was shared on the Stern page, but UCLA has the second highest acceptance rate of applicants that are invited to interview. As long as your responses matched what was in your app you probably did fine.

Thanks jessicmt for the share! I had seen the mbadataguru statistics, but I don't know where that data is coming from or its reliability...
However, if it is correct, I definitely hope I am not one of the 3 out of 10 that get dinged post-interview.

Ditto on what jess wrote. I'm a round 1 applicant and had the same question a few months earlier because my interviewer didn't respond either. Needless to say, I was an early admit. It is indeed the interviewer's style, and IMO it is pretty damn rude when they don't respond. I get it that they are busy but it's so freakin' EASY to write back something generic like, "Glad you learned from and enjoyed the interview. Good luck with the rest of the admissions process!" Just take note and remember to learn from this lesson if you ever have to interview MBA prospects or job applicants later on in life. This sort of lacking in the basic common courtesy gesture department makes it seem like the interviewer is either socially inept or an arrogant prick.

I am of the same mind; it would be incredibly easy to simply reply! All the other individuals I interacted with during my day trip were quick to reply, simply and politely.

It took my interviewer 7 or 8 days to respond. Since the interviews are conducted by students, I wouldn't read too much into it.

I submitted my R2 application in early December itself, and I don't see any updates of any sort on the website. Does any one know when/if Andershon might release their next wave of interview invites for R2?

Have any R1 applicants (if they're still even reading this thread) visited the campus on a non-event day? Trying to figure out if it's worth going out there earlier than the A-days weekend which is only 2 days before our deposit deadline...

finished my ucla interview - Skype. Pretty conversational - some examples i gave were weak IMO...kinda like how i felt about the kellogg video essay - not adding points but not taking away i don't think. If you Skype have your id nearby - they take a screen shot... i assumed it was not necessary since it wasn't in person.

walk me through resume
why mba
why ucla
example of a time you did something unpopular
example of a time you led a team well
what will you add to the class
any clubs
questions for me?

they are pretty precise with the time - so don't ramble. i think they schedule them back to back

I'm still waiting. Given that Anderson releases decisions relatively late to other programs, I still have a tad bit of hope.

Can anyone tell me if UCLA uses a recruiter interview bidding system for jobs like other top schools? I can't find it mentioned on their website.

Hate to give a vague answer, but I would assume it's based on the strength of your overall application vs. any specific stats. Basically how much does UCLA want you to attend. I don't know for certain, but it probably helps if the school feels like they will be able to highlight you when you're an alum (since successful alums are a key element in recruiting additional top applicants in the future).

I got an interview invite last week. I'm originally from India but have been working in NY for last 4 years. I've scheduled a skype interview for feb 25th.
