Also nothing. I talked with three other military applicants I know and they all had empty inboxes as well. Maybe the adcom has yet to finalize/evaluate the military pool.

Well, hopefully that's cause for us all to hold out hope for Thursday. I am trying to keep my expectations in check though, since most of the invites seemingly went out today.

I had one client get an interview invite today so it doesn't appear they're evaluating military on a different timeline.

Well, there goes that theory! Do you mind sharing how many R1 HBS clients you had? Also broad strokes of his/her profile?

Happy for your client, but I was hoping military candidates would be hearing later. Ah, well...

Only two clients applying to HBS R1 this year--haven't heard anything from the second one so I'm guessing no news is bad news thus far.

The one who got an interview is a Marine officer, nothing exceptional stats-wise but has some strong professional experiences and community involvement that also ties in well with his career goals which are a little unique for military applicants I've worked with.

I'm not holding a ton of hope at this point. Pretty competitive, this school. That's why no one applies only to HBS

Also, my profile for future ding analysis/comparison: Army officer, service academy grad, 3.43 GPA, masters degree, 750 GMAT, will have 8 years AD when I separate next summer.

Can't be posting the ding analysis just yet! There's still ~30-35% of the invites to go on Thursday. I'm with you though, it's tough staying positive with HBS being first out of the gate with interview invitations and it being a probable ding.

Yeah I got you. I've been pessimistic this week anyways because the Chiefs got blown out again and my flag football team got stomped yesterday. Good start to the week.

Best of luck to everyone this fall!

I finally schedule a GMAT test date for December 8th. I'll have about 4.5 months of total studying under my belt when I take the test. Hopefully it turns out for the best!

Don't forget that you can get reimbursed for the $250 GMAT test fee through DANTES.

I apologize for breaking my "only one bit of self promotion" promise from the beginning of this thread, but now that R1 interview invites are going out I wanted to make sure everyone here is aware of the interview prep services that we offer through MilitaryToBusiness.

You can check out pricing and details here: https://www.militarytobusiness.com/mba-admissions/

One valuable bit of information that's not mentioned on there...as one of our clients (even if only for a la carte interview prep) you get access to silly quantities of our document archives. For instance, we've currently got about 250 pages of interview AARs submitted by our clients over the last 4-5 years -- they'll give you far better insight than anything else out there as to what kind of questions military applicants are asked on a school by school basis.

Anybody know how long the reimbursement takes? I submitted mine this June time frame but still haven't had it come through on my LES yet.
