Since the word limit is less, I get that you want to focus more on the academic side of things. Just add a couple of lines showing how you contributed to the community or something for that personal growth aspect and I think it should be fine.

But honestly, this is one of the better and more interesting MBA essay questions
It sucks that the word limit is just 250

That’s a fair question and something a lot of international applicants are thinking about right now. From what I’ve gathered, UT Austin has been quite transparent about the job market realities and continues to support internationals through strong career services and alumni connections. The sentiment on campus still feels welcoming, though everyone’s realistic about the visa and economic uncertainties. Overall, it’s a mix of cautious optimism and practical planning.

SlavaKing
Just wanted to get a general feel amongst the internationals about the employment and career prospects , given the geo-political situation and the American public’s sentiment towards International students.

Has UT Texas addressed these? What do people feel ? - getting a general feel of the room

Yeah it definitely does!
Since it says “Why was pursuing your MBA at Texas McCombs the right decision for your personal and professional growth?”

This is where you can illustrate how McCombs had an impact via - “academically, through hands-on learning opportunities, and within the McCombs community.” And how that impacted/offered you something for your short term and long terms goals as well as your growth as a person
Whether working with people or some type of soft and hard skills
And then “Reflect on how you made the most of your time in the program” id show what you brought to the table during the 2 year time and what you took out of it

Does that help?

And it’s definitely hard but you can totally do it in 250
What I did is wrote whatever I had in mind and then broke it down from there based on word count
So like filler words and such but also showed a narrative/personality

I re-wrote mine like three times lol

Just remember not to sound robotic just to get info in there
Cause ofc you want to show you did your research but also show you’re authenticity

I think there are 2 very small questions for short and long term goals in the application.

I think the limit is like 140 characters

quick question: can we self report our gmat/gre scores and send it officially after being accepted or is it required along with our application?

website states the following but i wanted to confirm
"The date that your official scores are sent to UT Austin by the testing agency should be no later than the application round deadline, as it can take up to four weeks for new scores to be processed."
   1  ...  3   4   5   6   7  ...  20
