I had a 720 gmat and was able to convert my waitlist to admission. Got a call only day before yesterday

Posted from my mobile device

Congrats! May I ask were you placed on the waitlist with or without an interview? Thanks!

I interviewed with them on Jan 14th. And was Waitlisted after the interview on Jan 31st.

And for converting the waitlist I did exactly what the Adcom have been saying through the emails and webinars.

I assessed my profile to identify potential weakness areas and came up with action items to address the same. Shared the action plan with adcom and got a comment saying I was on right track. Although the comment made me wonder if it was an actual feedback. I guess it's the nerves and stress of being on the waitlist.

Although they did not ask me to improve my gmat score, I did do MBA math course to prove my Quant skills.

During this time I also tried connecting with the Johnson community in different ways. I got in career management team and current students who were waitlisted. Not just to understand how to convert my waitlist but also to understand what can I do better to be a successful Johnson student and alumni later on.

Hello, congratulations on your admit! I’ve been waitlisted this year and was wondering if you would help me understand a little bit about what I could do to get off the waitlist.
Also, can you share any rough number on how many students cornell usually waitlists every year?
