24/m/white/3.6 gpa at jhu with 3 majors/770 GMAT/2.5 y IB M&A in China at no-name local firm. Dinged from Lauder and Wharton (Mandarin track) after passing OPI and solid interviews.

Pretty bummed since Lauder was by far my top choice...would really appreciate the chance for feedback from adcom. I think they owe me that at least for making me suffer through 4,000 words of essays,2 interviews, language testing, and the logistical disaster that was today's release process..

Guess I'm too young or IB w/o PE is undesirable. Or bad recs, tanked essays, bad interview...who knows...time to find a new job.

@admiral - sorry to hear. I too was pretty bummed when I learned I was not admitted earlier today. But with time, I have gained perspective. You look interesting on paper and if you didn't get anywhere you like this year, I would definitely reapply to wharton next year.. I'm sure you will do well. Good luck and try to stay positive.

I know of at least one case where a Lauder ding was given feedback from the Lauder office. They encouraged him to reapply the following year, and he did and was accepted.

I don't know if they give feedback to everyone or just special cases though.

My form rejection letter seemed to hint that I should reapply, but everyone could have received that for all I know.

Maybe I will send the adcom an email sometime next week to ask after everything calms down.

I'm disappointed, but I'll live. There's always next year.

Probably is. There was someone else who was more of a complete package - on paper at least. The amount of wl'ed to me shows inconfidence in their yield however.

For all the admits, do you guys see on your myWharton page the infamous extra boxes that we've been obsessed with? I don't see any even though somewhere on the welcome page it says you can track receipt of your transcript on the myWharton page. Am I looking in the wrong place?

I am also a dinged Lauder applicant, Japanese track. 30/m/white/3.1 gpa at good school. Was initially thinking public policy or Comp Sci school so had GRE scores i used: 790Q (91%) / 620 V (90%). WE: 2 Y Jet program, 5 years global insurer w/ considerable time worked overseas. My interviews were average at best (fell on my head snowboarding the weekend before and had mild concussion (fell while getting off the charlift, so lame!).

I am a bit bummed as well because the program seems great. 2 degrees in 24 months. Now considering UVA Darden Dual Degree with their East Asian Studies Dept, though that's 3 years. Also Michigan Ross has a dual degree program w/ Asian Studies, and some of the schools in Cali.

Another Wharton Lauder Ding here... 24/m/indian/3.7gpa from Top 10 engineering school / 720 gmat / 2 yr strat consulting + 2 years F50 consumer goods

Had a great Lauder interview + **** Wharton interview.... Oh well, time to rehash n figure out life....
