To begin with, exercise care in what you post in which group. You’ve copy pasted your message quoting HBS in the Wharton group.

You have two options to consider: a) deferred MBA application in the final year of your full time education. That gives you 3, 4 or 5 years (depending on what you plan to study in UG). b) regular MBA option after 7+ years from today. Both are very long runways available to you to plan and execute. Your scores from 12th will have no relevance to your candidature. Build your profile but chasing learnings (not earnings).

One big mistake I often see is people writing very generic stories that list achievements but forget to show who they really are, what drives them, and where they’re heading. Adcoms care less about the polish and more about authenticity. A strong story connects your past experiences, present motivations, and future goals in a way that feels personal and intentional.
Another common miss is not showing enough school fit. Copy-pasting the same essay across programs won’t cut it. Each school wants to know why they make sense for you so whether it’s a specific course, teaching style, or community vibe, make it clear that you’ve done your homework and know how the school aligns with your goals.
Finally, many people overlook how crucial recommendations and resumes are. If your resume just lists job duties, or your recommender isn’t highlighting leadership and growth, it can weaken your app even if everything else is strong.
If you're unsure how to bring it all together, Admit Scholar offers 1 on 1 support to help you craft a sharp, authentic, and competitive application.

My question is w.r.t Admission perspective because I m worried after having 15 yrs of work exp. at hand and applying to full-time MBA at WHARTON for making a pivot to Demography, Industry, and Job Function. Is the WHARTON ADCOMS open to offering a seat to aspirants like me applying at 38 and still be willing to accept considering a younger and highly competitive applicant pool?
Yes, Wharton does admit candidates with 15+ years of experience, though such cases are rare. At 38, you’ll be evaluated less on age and more on whether your career pivot is realistic, well-justified, and achievable through a full-time MBA versus an EMBA. The Adcom will look closely at

(1) the clarity and credibility of your post-MBA goals
(2) your employability in the target industry
(3) the unique value your senior experience brings to the class.

If you can clearly show why Wharton full-time MBA is essential now and how you’ll leverage it for a successful pivot, you can absolutely be a competitive candidate despite the younger pool.
