Hi!
I am applying to Yale in Round 2 and while filling out the application and writing the essays, I noticed there seem to be very few opportunities to really talk about 'why Yale' and 'how you would be a good fit in the community', etc. based on the way the way the questions are framed.
How have the other applicants addressed that? Any help is appreciated :-)

Totally agree with you here. I visited the campus twice, engaged a lot with current students and even asked the adcom how I could share my thoughts to answer questions such as why Yale and why I'd be a good fit while applying. They said that they assess those answers in more depth through the interview. Unfortunately for me, I wasn't invited to interview so I couldn't really address those points.

I guess applicants who secured an interview would be able to help you out more here. Anyways, I'd still say that most other schools give you some extra room to show love for them through the online application.

My mind keeps alternating between joy and daydreaming of being accepted, and utter rejection. The 7th can't come quick enough.

i had a dream last night that admission results were released.

i was stressed in my dream waiting and hoping for a call, and then i woke up and ......... am still stressed waiting and hoping for a call.

I think that I was able to fit that in with the main essay and the short explanation about expected career path. The application doesn't ask specifically why SOM, but your previous leadership experience and future ambitions should reflect that.

i'm not too sure. based on last year's forum thread, it seems they called international applicants first?
