I'm curious who the on-campus interviewers met. Adcom or students? Off-site was Bruce from the video questions.

You will almost always get a 2nd year student as an interviewer if you interview on-campus. You might get adcom if none of the 2nd years are available.

I was matched with someone from AdCom when I interviewed on campus a couple weeks ago. I doubt it matters though; the questions were the same as what others have posted on this forum.

Did you get a post interview survey?

I can't believe how much I think about the lack of response to my post-interview thank you email hahaha.

This whole process is mental torture.

Hey there,

Sorry for the delay in SOM getting back to you - two folks from Admissions are out on Maternity leave, so the office is stretched a little thin. Please don't take it personally at all!

guys i would need your quick help..
I received an email from Yale SOM to fill up the post interview survey.
There they also ask that whether you have been interviewed at other B-schools. Actually I have been interviewed, but not sure of the consequences if I indicate yes?
Would appreciate your help to share your opinion?

Please don't worry - there are no consequences whatsoever if you indicate yes - it's mostly for internal reporting. If anything, it'll show how invested you are in applying to B-School and make AdCom realize how serious a candidate you are.

Thanks, Dan.

It was mostly in jest :)

Just a manifestation of how badly I want to get in at this point. Fear of not making it makes me overanalyze everything!

No worries buddy, I've been there! If you or anybody else has questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me - [email protected] I'll do my best to respond ASAP but I can try to give you the pulse on where things are.

And by the way, the pulse is that things are still humming, interview invites are going out, the committee is meeting, the status is quo.

Word. And if any R1 interviewees or R2/R3 applicants still need more info about SOM, there are a number of admissions events still happening these days, both online and in-person events (Bangalore, Dubai, Sydney, NYC). Register here: https://som.yale.edu/our-programs/mba/admissions/events

Thanks a lot! Your replies to all our posts have helped to reduce our anxiety level :) this wait for results is really killing..;)

By the way, to ease things further, can you share the % of interviewed candidates who gets the admission? During my campus visit someone told me that 70 to 75% of the interviewed candidates in round 1 gets the final call. Is it true?

Cheers

Also, look out for Winter Socials happening in multiple cities around the world in late Dec & Jan. Winter Social is hosted by current students and is an informal way to meet them and ask all the questions you want to ask. I've done one in every city I travelled to last winter break, and I've really enjoyed meeting prospective students.

Have any re-applicants (who interviewed in a previous cycle) either been invited back for another interview or already dinged? Apologize if I missed this in a previous post but just trying to figure out the process. Appreciate any insight!
