So R1 people who were invited to interview, have you completed your interviews or not.

This wait sucks, I just want to be accepted so I can relax and my wife can start the job hunt well in advance.

I interviewed last week. IMO my performance was pretty neutral. I dont think I bombed it, and didnt hit it out of the park.
My interviewer was pretty cool and laid back, so my interview was RELATIVELY comfortable.

Also, despite his very tight schedule, ryhme was willing to show me around for an afternoon.
Thanks again rhyme!

River, I feel your pain...

Why would you skip out on lunch? Thats the best part. I'll probably be on campus that day studying for finals.

Had my interview last Monday, now I'm sitting at work watching seconds tick off the clock. It's seriously killing me. Are they serious about not letting results out until the January deadline? I saw in the last chat Rose said they may make phone calls a day or two before to students. Even with that though. . . it's going to be a looooong Christmas.

My transcripts are submitted and my interview has been completed. There nothing left to do but pray for an admit. This next month is going to be excruciating, its hard to get myself motivated to work on R2 apps.

Did they say anything along the lines that they were going to try to start notifying people sooner than the top of next year? The DSAC blog says that they sent out notifications prior to Christmas last year. I don't know what the notification date was last year though.

So here's what happened last year.

The original notification date was in early Jan, I can't remember the specific date, but its something like Jan 3 or Jan 5 or something like that. Very near to the beginning of the year.

After interviews had been completed, roughly around this time frame I believe, they sent out an email saying they were moving up the decision date to Dec 20th.

On Dec 18th, they started making calls. Some calls went out on the 19th, but none on the 20th itself -- the 20th was basically (As far as I know) strictly a deny day.

Lets hope for a repeat of that. I would love to know before Christmas.

I'd like to know if and only if I'm accepted, a DING would "destroy" my Xmas...

seems like results wont be announced before Jan 03. This is what i heard from admissions office after I spoke to them yesterday..They are pretty strict about not changing dates this time it seems..

but then again following rhyme's hypothesis.. they may have a change of heart and send out emails notifying about new notification date... who knows..

this is one roller coaster christmas

i had my interview on campus yesterday. i think it went fairly well... no surprising questions. i think i rambled on too much early on due to nerves, but my interviewer was extremely friendly and politely cut me off. i was surprised he didnt ask for more clarification on what i do at work, given that i dont work in a very traditional field. the interview became more conversational as it went on, and although it was scheduled for 30 minutes, the interviewers have leeway to go to 45 minutes, which we did.

surprisingly, my interviewer mentioned that the GSB was interviewing FEWER candidates this year, both percentage wise and in real numbers. i guess that means the gmatclub is really la creme de la creme?

That contradicts what the Dean said, she claimed that since it was such a strong applicant pool this year they were interviewing more (60% vs 50% normally). Now that might be putting a spin on it but you never know.

I would really rather your interviewer be right.
