Just a small piece of information for all you R1ers.
So, I went to the event today in New York. Rose Martinelli informed that when she gets back to office, she is going to send a mail to everyone that the decisions for R1 will be out by Dec 19th.

I had heard this a while back too but didn't want to say anything in case it didn't happen (in which case I'd face the wrath of a dozen angry gmatclubbers). Good to hear that it sounds like it will!

Does this mean they'll call people on the 17th and 18th, and then deny the rest on the 19th? This means that I'll hear from my two top choices (W and Chicago) before Xmas...I guess that's good, but I'll have a huge knot in my stomach during the preceding week.

faceman, assuming that the email does in fact come out, and the date listed in the email is the 19th, and assuming that things go down like they did last year for R1/R2/R3 -- they will start calling 2 days before the actual decision date, so yes, the 17th will be the big day (with maybe a few left for the 18th).

Either way - 17th, 18th, or 19th, you basically have two weeks! :)

Wow, that's going to be a very active couple of days for people here on gmatclub. I'll have to figure out a way to keep myself busy...I guess I could try to be productive at work...nahhhhh.

I'll be getting back from Whistler on the 16th, just in time to watch the frenzy. Those are the days you are GLUED to the screen.

Is that a trip with the ski club or on your own? I'll be heading up to Stowe and then Sunday River shortly after for some decent New England skiing. I'm jealous though.

Just lock those knees, get some speed up, and flail around with your arms or poles as much as possible...that should at least create some space for you to work with while you iron out the kinks. Barring removal by the ski patrol, you might even get a run to yourself out of the pure fear of other skiers/boarders.

Ah. I remember my Austrian ski instructors bellowing, " Bend ze knees! Bend ze knees! Angulate! Angulate!"
It always took me a couple of days to get my ski legs back, but it's so much fun...
I am very jealous! :)

I haven't been skiing since I suffered two bad knee injuries (non-skiing related) in about 6 months freshman year of college. I need to get back to it.
