Congrats djhouse! You clearly had Columbia as your dream school, and it is nice to know that the school appreciated that as well. That 6k ain't a problem because it goes towards your tuition, and you knew that Columbia was your top choice all along.

Thanks, everyone! It is a great a feeling, I'm still smiling. I've already joined the Facebook group. Now, I look forward to hearing about everyone else's admits. Are there any other CBS applicants for ED or other rounds?

Awesome job man. Join the club. the CBS Facebook group is growing really slow so not many admits so far.

Yeah, I did not waste time updating my stats. I have already submitted Ross and Fuqua, so I will have to withdraw those. I was about to submit Darden today and Stern next week, so I can save on some app fees...put it to the CBS deposit!

Big congrats and great school.

Congratulations! That is outstanding news!
Getting ready to dive into the Columbia application myself - looking to submit it hopefully within the next few weeks - so maybe I will be lucky enough to join you there.

Congratulations once again! :-D

On the "How will your MBA prepare you for a rapidly changing business environment?", should I also list courses I want to do at CBS to be prepared?

Congratulation haddy and dj, you have no idea how envy I am!

Thank you, Kwam!

As long as those courses are unique to Columbia. If you want to be an investment banker, and you list Fixed Income Analysis as one of your courses then that does not say much about your desire to attend Columbia because every school has that course. You want to answer the question being asked, but at the same time you need to show Columbia that you cannot prepare for the changing business environment unless you attend Columbia--that includes listing reasons that are unique to Columbia and only Columbia.

That's what I thought. Thanks, I think I'm going to the correct direction then.

I'm just avoiding the overlaps with the essay1, and trying not to sound "too bureaucratic"...

For essay #1, did you guys talk about your career progress (not specifically asked for Columbia but its coupled for all other schools with career goals). It seems weird to spend 750 words on career goals without talking about where I've been in relation.

While we're on this, i hate that they don't accept scanned transcripts. Inputting everything into their spreadsheet is a total waste of time!!
