rhyme,
I thought booth has a very high Yield rate at around 75%+. Is that wrong?

Chicago Booth yield is notoriously low, or so I'd been led to believe. I expect this comes from being the "safety school" for H/W/S applicants. Around 60% was the last quoted figure I saw.

Sapphireka,
The reason why i thought Booth has a higher Yield rate((% of accepted applicants actually attending booth) is because there seems to be a less movement in WL over the last 2 years.

btw, here is an interesting post by Rhyme (dated Sep-2006) about Kellogg's gmat score, yield and selectivity.
gmat-scores-yield-and-selectivity-for-kellogg-34770.html

wonder whether any similar analysis is done for Booth?

In truth I think its probably between those two figures -- 75% is certainly too high though. Per businessweek, published selectivity is 22%, total applicants is 3800ish, thus approx 830 offers made, for a class size target of approx 550 or 560, which would imply a yield of somewhere around 67%

Hey found this wonderful little community while searching for ways to prepare for my Booth interview but I am only now getting around to posting. You can count me in for Rd 1 with an interview... and those holding their breath for the next week or so. Good luck to all!

Waiting on the final decision next Tues/Wed, and I got an invite for a chat on Thursday with admissions. Did other people waiting for final decisions get that?

I got the chat invite too, but here's one that's even more interesting:

There's a student hosted event on Dec 16th in NYC. Did other people get this. I feel like this would be the biggest tease ever to get this and get dinged the day before.

I did not receive that. Are you located in or near NYC? I'm way out west.

Yes, I'm near NYC. Will actually be in Chicago on decision day though. Can't make this event anyway.

I'm definitely in the tired of waiting category! My essay 1 was structured like a typical goals essay - what I've done, how it led to the mba, why chicago and what's next after graduation. Hope that helps!

These guys do a really good job with general pointers on how to make it more than just a goals essay - https://www.precisionessay.com/blog/?p=200

Hey I just noticed I am not on the roll call! If this is still being updated please add me as I received an interview invite on 10 Nov.

And since I'm bored I was checking out the spreadsheet too. 730 is the average GMAT this year - very strong applicant pool! Does anyone know if gmatclub is normally skewed high, low or even?

Not long to go now!
