I'm going to ask a potentially dumb question about this "under review" email that people are talking about.

I got an email on 1/8 from [email protected] which starts out saying "Thank you for submitting your application for admission to the Berkeley MBA Program at the Haas School of Business. Your file is now ready for review by the admissions committee."

Is this the same email everyone is talking about?
Anyone? Bueller?

yep. pretty sure that's the one. it seems that no everyone received that email at the same time.

Anyone know of any stats as far as what percentage of people who are invited to interview at Haas get accepted? I know Wharton dings ALOT of the people they invite to interview, but I am not sure about other schools. Is it typically about one out of two? From the GMAT Club stats, it looks like most people who interview are either accepted or waitlisted, but this must mean that people who are dinged after interviews just don't feel like broadcasting it, which I totally get...

Waitlisted candidates should be either admitted or dinged in the end. Assuming that all admitted candidates are eager to report their fortune we may get the dings rate as the residual. I have looked all throughout web and can't see a guess better than 50/50 at this stage.

Interesting, if these stats are accurate then that is a very good thing. I have a feeling this paints a little bit prettier picture than what is actually the case. I highly doubt that Wharton takes 1 out of 2. I have heard it is more like 1 out of 3. Also, Northwestern interviews almost everyone who applies, so that can't be accurate.

I got 4 interviews at school on this list, so I think the odds of getting 0 accepts are slim. However, with my luck it is very possible. Stressful until we get the call right?

At least you got accepted to a top school already! I was a little optimistic in my assessment of how much weight a 99th percentile GMAT score carries and applied to only top schools. (only one outside top 10) I may be SOL in a few weeks!

I am jealous of your 760 :) I think you've got a great shot. Good luck to you! I hope the stars align for both of us!

Lol, it seems like everyone is impressed with the 760 except for admissions committees. I appreciate the compliment though. I hope things work out for both of us as well!

I'm with you. I thought a 760 would open doors and shot for top 7. I'm staring at a potential epic fail application season in the face.

Mannn do I hope Haas works out...

Not many - Booth, Haas and Kellogg (Kellogg doesn't count). Wasn't surprised about Wharton - I really put no effort into that one and didn't really want to go there. I was pretty disappointed about no interview from Sloan. My brother went there, I had tons of relationships and worked hard on the app. How about you?

Wharton, Haas, Northwestern, and Yale. Waitlisted at Yale. I am feeling pretty good about Haas and Wharton. It is hard to say. I thought I was in at Yale FOR SURE, and I was obviously wrong about that.

Haas official result day is Thu March 26th although that day will be mostly dings. Based on R1, calls will likely start going out that Monday.

And the most common thought is: no, you can't request an early decision for a competing bschool deadline. You'll likely have to put in your deposit and then lose it if you get into your top choice school and chalk it up to cost of doing business.
