Grad school apartments have a different feel. Just fair warning they are great price/location but I've been there and it's a bit under-graddy w partying, communal kitchens, break rooms etc. Just depends what you are looking for.

I'm in Houston too- The Woodlands, although we just listed our big old house today because we are tired of the suburbs- I'm hoping I will end up in a house somewhere between Shepherd & Greenbriar, but I won't know until Friday!

Also looking at The Heights and Midtown- my husband will still have to commute up north to the hospital.

Hmmm. I didn't know they had communal kitchens? I'm talking about the ones on Morningside dr behind El Meson restaurant. I visited my friend who lives there. She lives in a 2bed/2bath apartment. It's just like a regular apartment with no communal stuff but probably there is some partying... You can rent the whole apartment and have both rooms or singles can have a roommate...

Yea, I would still take a look if I were you guys. I just remember swinging by like 6 or 7 years ago and for some reason that's the first thing that popped into my head today. Who knows how well my mind is functioning at this point in the process???? :)

What I've heard is that for acceptance you will receive a phone call. For declines, I think you receive either an email about status change on the site or a letter in the mail...not completely sure though about how they communicate declines.

You'll definitely receive a phone call. However, the website might update almost simulataneously so if you happen to miss the call you might see the email first.

Hey everybody! I just found this blog... Really excited!!

I interviewed during the DPW and submitted my application before R2 deadline. I heard they will not be calling until Friday... I can't wait any longer!!

That's the word on the street, plus I think it should be better to think that way and not be disappointed if you don't get a call tomorrow.

Scholarship information comes in the phone call as well...
