I think the admissions teams are different for MBA and MSX, so they can call both if they choose to.

R1 admits did receive a call from the admissions office a day before.

Anyway, just a few more hours to go. Decision was posted on the portal at 9:47a.m PST on the decision notification date for R1. You'll receive an email with the subject "Decision posting" asking you to log in to your online application. If you see a "Next Steps" link right below the "View Decision" link, you've been accepted.

It would make sense for them to keep a decent sized waitlist and admit less out right...,let’s them see the R3 applicant pool and admit the best possible class.
