Just received my notice... and I was dinged for the second year in a row :-(

At first I thought it would be good news as last year I was dinged on the final day and never heard of people getting denied before hand but it happened again only 2 weeks ahead of time. Ah well, thought I had a solid chance this time around with 35% of re-applicants making it, new essays, a job promotion to FP&A Manager, and completing multiple UCLA extension preparatory MBA classes per advice from Dylan but no dice.

Pepperdine here I come.

I am sorry to hear about your denial, even i was denied at 2 other schools before I got here...

Hey Thanks a lot and no worries, it's hard getting rejected but whatta ya gonna do. You just have to learn from it and move on while making the most of where you end up.

Congrats on the femba and pepperdine acceptances. LAMBA, best of luck on hearing from other schools if you applied.

Hope we can all put a face to a name at some point since we'll be fellow grad students. Keep us in mind if there's an event or shindig you wouldn't mind having company for!!

I got my acceptance to UCLA FEMBA yesterday! I'm so excited. Can't wait to meet my fellow classmates. Congrats to everyone who got in and best of luck to everyone who didn't get the news they wanted.

It's official!

I paid my deposit to the USC MBA.PM class (University Park). Notified everyone else that I will not be enrolling in their program (including UCLA FEMBA).

Stats: Graduated 2006 w/ 3.35 GPA
GMAT: 710 / 6.0 AWA
4.5 years work experience at a Global 500 company (management trainee in a rotational program, E-Business Development Manager, to now a sales manager to a team of six)

I am also part owner of a start up company.

I think I will be leaving my 9-5 job and focusing on my start up part time and the MBA (to thoroughly enjoy the MBA experience and network)
