Congratulations! I think another poster had similar submission time and received an invite last week. I guess there's still a bit of a wait till they get to the November pile.
Just out of curiosity, what's the interpretation of submitting a RD application before ED deadline? Would it seem like one was well-prepared to submit early, but is not sure about committing to Columbia?

It's hard to say - if you look on past year's thread, there are plenty of RD applicants getting in even though they submitted well ahead of the ED deadline. My sense is that, if you are a strong candidate, they will be interested in you no matter what.

Yes, that makes sense - after all, submitting an application in September shows its own commitment, albeit not ED type.
Last year, a wave of invites for RD went out in mid-December. With similar timelines this year, some people should be hearing back over the next couple of weeks.
