Farru
Hi all,
I was looking for some help for profile evaluation as I will be applying to the MBF of HSG.
I am a 3rd year Economics and Business Economics bachelor at a top dutch university.
My profile right now is the following:
- GPA 8.6/10 (5.7/6 Swiss)
- Studying right now for GMAT Focus, if everything goes well, I should get 685
- Currently doing a 5 months VC internship
- Been extremely active in student associations all throughout my second year (International case competition, VC associations and many more)
- Working part-time in a small startup as Startegy Director
- Volleyball captain for 3 years
- A lot of international experience as I moved to the Netherlands from Italy after having completed an exchange year in Canada during high school
Feel free to share any thoughts/advices !
Hello,
I’m a London Business School alumni and interviewer who has helped 250+ students get into global top 30 universities.
We helped 3 people with this very course at St Gallen last year and here’s what I think about your profile from that POV:
1. Academically, if you match this GMAT score you’ll be well positioned to apply (potentially even secure a scholarship if the rest profile also stands out).
2. Professionally, do you’ve any internships other than the ones you’ve mentioned? Essentially because we need to effectively communicate how you got exposure to the field of finance and what experiences strengthened this interest towards the subject.
3. In terms of the interpersonal profile, you’ve done some cool things! We’d simply need to position it in a way that showcases you as someone who has done things beyond what a typical person does in a similar engagement.
Overall, it all looks good to me! When do you plan to give the GMAT by?
Given the R1 deadline on 30 November, I would suggest working on atleast the base profile, CV, alumni and adcom engagement, and other things already.
If you need help in the same, you can schedule a call with me or my cofounder (both LBS graduates who cracked universities such as HEC, NUS, Imperial, LSE) via:
