Hey guys, apologises for the long message,
I could really use some insight into the situation, I am in.
I am an Architecture student who graduated in 2020 from Manipal University India, with an 8-9 month internship experience prior.
and I worked in two companies one as a client-facing excitive and in pre-sales in a small pharma startup. each being 6-7 months following it
I decided to study for the GMAT and apply for round two or three depending on scores. with a turn of events, I got covid and am in the spot where I can’t apply for the round 3 deadlines because I’m too sick tired to keep my scores where it needs to be.
I wanted to know if taking a gamble on R4 is worth it. or should I wait 6 months to apply in Sept. The only issue is I am not sure how to pad my resume and I have been not working since September 2021 as I was studying for the GMAT. I really am worried as to what would be the smart step forward here. and worried that a gap in the CV or have had around 2-3 years of work experience depending on if admiisons committee count the internship prior to my uni will count as work ex would hamper my chances of getting in.

ashmithas, hey there, i’m in the same situation as you. i’m not working either and I’ve been preparing for GMAT and got covid. I was planning for R3 too. But i have realised that recovering from covid is just as bad as covid. Please don’t push yourself. I tried to take tests during covid too but I couldn’t even sit for an hour. It’s been a week since my quarantine ended and I’m still not completely ok. It takes time. Health comes first. Hope you get well soon :)

Hi all,

Is there anyone who applied for the Master in Supply Chain Management at the University of Washington and hear back from them?

Hi, I’m from India, 24M, graduated in 2020 with a bachelor’s in CS with a mediocre GPA (3.0), I have in total 6 months of work experience as a software developer and over the past year I have realised CS is not for me, so I wish to foray into finance, specifically IB or AM. Now I think the best path would be to take a Master’s in Finance (MiF) from a European School but I’m concerned about my age as it seems mostly fresh undergraduates take these courses. So would I be at a disadvantage if I’m applying for these programs?

I would most probably be applying for the 2023 cohort so I would be 25 by then, I think I could get a decent (700+) GMAT score if I really tried but my UG gpa is so low, would I be able to offset that with some extra online finance courses from coursera or edx?

Okay, so the thing I understood from your query is whether the online courses will help you or not. So for knowledge boosting courses are good.

But to leave an impression on your application overall. Might not be so helpful.

Profile evaluation requests for MiM application

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Background and nationality: Indian, 22M, Engineer, Non-IIT Govt. College.

GMAT/GRE: 620 1st Attempt (DEC 21), GPA: 6.86/10, IELTS: 7.5

Work experience and leadership: Business Analyst Intern 6-months, plenty of extracurriculars and Leadership, 2 Years with NGO's, Sports etc.
Community and others

Post Master goals: Mgmt. Consulting, IB, Business Analyst etc.

Anything else?: Preferred Destination: UK (Europe)

I have applied to WBS, EDINBURGH recently.

I have a doubt regarding french B-schools, especially for Indians or Non-french speaking people. :::: Isn't it better to apply to T-10 UK MIM programs if you're looking in terms of employment?. The degree will be 1 year compared to 3, hence you'll be quick in getting jobs, and by the time the ESSEC, EDHEC guys complete their degree you might as well have 2 years of intl. work ex.
(I sincerely want readers to comment on this and help me out as I want to have your honest opinions, Most people going to France will have to deal with the language in some way as an additional requirement) No offence but: I believe some french b-school programs are suddenly a bit overhyped and overrated.

Kindly evaluate this profile. Shall I take the GMAT again in 20 days and try for LBS, ESCP R4 as 1 last dream school hope?

Kindly also suggest other MIM programs to apply to in UK or otherwise. I am already planning to apply to BATH, LEEDS, LANCASTER ETC..
Employability is my priority.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you so much in advance. :)

I believe giving GMAT again solely depends upon you, but two cents from my side LBS is quite hard to crack in 4th round. So, if you have confidence do apply, it's always worth a try.
Other than that,
The ten universities targeted by the largest number of top graduate employers in
2020-2021 are Birmingham, Manchester, University College London, Nottingham,
Leeds, Warwick, Bristol, Cambridge, Oxford and Imperial College London.

You could apply to any of these, you will be okay.
Hope this helps. :)
Good luck.
