Yale is also claiming a huge increase due to the new curriculum - I dont know what to think. Part of me just says - F-it, I put my best foot forward and thats all I can do - now its up to the ADCOM to recognize. The other part of me wonders why they are all so focused on getting the word out that apps are up - especially to those who are applying. What advantage does that really give them?

Hi Bayern -

So far I have Darden, Yale, and Cornell in. As for round 2 I am working on USC, Duke, Kellogg, and McCombs (rolling admission). I hope I get in to one!

The Knicks - my favorite team - what do I think? I am glad Larry is gone because he was unhealthy for the team. I believe we will see an improvement but they have a lot of work to do. I doubt we will see the playoffs. What do you think?

I am considering Duke and UT of Round 2(in case I dont get it at Cornell). It's interesting that you are applying to UT though, as many New Yorkers dont like moving to Texas.
I think Larry is a great coach, but wasn't a fit for the team and the players. I agree with you, they will improve this year but fall short of the playoffs. I would like Isah to go though, as he hasn't done much for the time he has been here. And the only way for him to go is if the Knicks fail. So, we will see. Promises to be an interesting year though.

I haven't seen anything about applications being up at Yale, but I believe they did reduce the class size because of the change in curriculum (temporary I think), so it will probably be more competitive this year.

GMAT volume is lower this year than last year. Increased volume could just mean that the same number of people are applying to more schools each. The actual number of people applying to get their butts into the seats should be lower this year than last.

Well I have to admit - I am not a native NYer...I was born in Virginia but grew up in Washington DC and New Jersey. I am pretty open minded - I have heard great things about Texas so I figured I would give it a shot. Plus they have an awesome Real Estate program from what I hear.

As far as Larry - yes he is a great coach but not the right fit. I would like to see the Knicks succeed this year but I also agree with you - Isiah has got to go. He has done nothing with this team and has had more then enough time to make improvements.

On the flipside, maybe's she's an scorned woman who was once rejected by an Italian man she fell in love with during high school and has always harbored a semi psychotic urge for revenge. She's pursuing an MBA in order to gain the knowledge necessary to enter the Italian fashion houses of Florence one by one and slowly murder every major Italian male fashion designer in the world. She sleeps at night with an axe she's nick named "Tommy the Blade" after her heart was broken Tommy, an italo-american from jersey one cool fall night during the summer of 94. Tommy told her he loved her, but in fact, he'd been sleeping with Mindy, the town tramp. My interviewer is having trouble sleeping tonight as her excitement builds - her first kill is coming, and soon, very soon, she will taste the sweet nectar of revenge as she brings the axe of doom (+5 agility) down on my poor skull early next week.

Then again, maybe's she's a normal person.

Sorry, I like writing tangents.

I'd love a holiday. Alas, my bank account does not support such a dream.

Yes... clearly she has a hatred of men and wants to usurp them in the business world... Your going down Ryme! Don't worry... I'll throw the flowers meant for my recommendations your way at the wake. J/K... You'll be fine... When is the interview anyhow?
