(A) earned by their employees and that the information be published
(B) that their employees earned and that the information be published
(C) that was earned by their employees with the information being published
(D) earned by their employees, information that must also be published
(E) earned by their employees and published the information

I think it should be A or B.
required to report .... and the information be published.

Why did you guys pick B instead of A?

(D) earned by their employees, information that must also be published
(E) earned by their employees and published the information

we need subjunctive here ,hence B,C D are eliminated
now left with A Vs B
actually tough
A is better since in B ,that their employees earn seperates pention benefits into two types => one is earned by employees other is not earned !!!

ANS should be D. "benefits (that are) earned by their employees" should be correct. So only A, D, and E left. Reason for taking A and E out is presented above with bold.

IMO D.

A could have been the ans, if the sentence started like this 'The government has come out with a law that requires companies to report.... and that the information.. '

Corporations will soon be required a) to report........... and b) that the information..........
I see it as this, except that the author has put the whole sentence together.
Better format would have been usage of "to" in both cases.
Definitely a hard one!
I will go with B

Why D is wrong......use of information after (,) makes it not only unparallel but very ambiguous.
Which information is this phrase talking about? that Corporations will soon be required to report or that have the necessary reserves to pay the pension benefits ?
why is this unparallel? lets see, requirement is of two things. first to see whether corporations have reserves and that they publish the result/ information. Got the point?

Okay first lets see why E?

whether they have the necessary reserves......... and whether they have[ published the information... now I guess it is clear.
In E, published is the parallel progression of Present perfect tense with whether they haveommited.

So IMO anser is E...

I am a bit confused can someone clarify...

This sentence can be split in two ways:
Way 1

Corporations will soon be required
to do two things
1. to report to the government whether they have the necessary reserves to pay the pension benefits earned by their employees
and
2. that the information be published in annual reports to shareholders.

Way 2

Corporations will soon be required to report to the government whether they have
1.the necessary reserves to pay the pension benefits earned by their employees
and
2. that the information be published in annual reports to shareholders.

Can someone tell which one is correct and hence the answer.
