Hi,
I recently took my first GMAT and received the following score:
710 / Q50 / V36 / IR 8 / AWA=TBA
I am not sure if this score would be enough to take a shot at top 10 schools.
Dream score was more like 730 which I would definitely be confident.
Would 20+ make a large difference???
I have BS/MS from UC Berkeley in Engineering.
GPA 3.2 (BS) & 3.3 (MS).
I work at Semiconductor Industry as Process Engineer.
- not a management position
- but manages few projects on my on.
Work Experience =2.5yrs. (It would be 4 yrs when I enter the school)
My company is listed in Forture 500 and has >10000 employees.
Asian Male w/ US Citizenship. (Not Indian, Not Chinese)
Leadership positions:
Church Leadership position. (Small group leader, praise team leader, college ministry leader..)
Organized a student band while in college. Played drum for 4yrs. Served as president for 1yr.
Engineering Society.
ETC:
Published a Journal Paper during MS.
Three patents filed and pending.
I am trying to switch to renewable industry which is the subject that I researched on during the masters.
Aiming for schools such as Ross, Fuqua, Sloan, GSB, Kellogg...
How well prepared am I? Should I retake a GMAT to really aim for >730??
What areas should I prepare for the next one year to be a competitive candidate??
Thank you!
