hey guys,
Im taking my first exam in July. Figured i'd post my progress here as a way to stay motivated since i just rescheduled. Finally got a 700 on my practice GMAT prep but im too close to the date to feel comfortable getting anywhere close to my target score in time for my previously scheduled exam. Did the 50 dollar reschedule.
Anyways, here is my progress so far:
1 month of Study: foundations of GMAT logic, arithmetic and Algebra
Nov. 2014 diagnostic, Veritas Prep, 690, Q42,V43
Nov. 2014 veritas prep, 670, Q43, V39
---took a break, horrible idea, just kind of lost steam---
Apr. 2015 GMAT Prep 1, 630, Q36, V40
May 2015 Veritas, 610, Q40, V34
May 2015 Veritas, 630, Q42, V35
May 2015 GMAT Prep 2, 700, Q45, V41<--this felt awesome
July 2015 GMAT Prep 3 710, (Q47,V41)
July 2015 GMAT Official - 680, (Q44,V39)
I took the two Veritas at the beginning of May and the GMAT prep this last week after deciding i was testing too often and should study for about 2 weeks straight.
My perception so far is that my quant is definitely improving after my no study period. I'm skeptical of the verbal scores with veritas. I'm not sure why they have been so low compared to the GMAT prep tests.
Anyways, I am using the full Veritas set as well as SC Guide from
MGMAT and
Advanced Quant from
MGMAT.
Here's to hoping the extra studying lends at least another 60 points. I'm posting here to stay motivated since you can see from my current track record I have lost the motivation once before. Rescheduling was hard because I really wanted to get this test over with. I think this is for the best though, as I wont be happy with a sub 700 score.
I'll update the thread as I take more tests.
