Hi Magicien99,

If you only recently sent in your Round 2 applications, then have you received any responses yet from the Schools that you applied to? You're ultimately asking an Admissions question, so you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans (and applications so far). Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/ask-admissio ... tants-124/

1) Back in November, you noted that you had taken the GMAT 3 times. How did you score on your more recent attempts (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

If you're interested in taking a free practice GRE, then you can do so (you can access 2 for free from www.gre.org). You might consider working through some practice questions before taking that first practice GRE though.

Hi Rich,

I scored 680 with Q49 and V34 (my worst verbal score to date). I haven't received any response yet regarding my applications.

Hi Magicien99,

A 680/Q49/V34 is a strong overall Score, so it could be enough to get you into one (or more) of the Schools that you applied to. If that was your worst Verbal Scaled Score, then how did you score on each of your Official attempts (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Hello everyone,

I recently applied to R2 top American MBA schools with a below-average GMAT (680).
My next and final application will be to INSEAD, for the Jan 22' intake.

As I have exhausted all my GMAT attempts, I wanted to hear your opinion about the following: does it make sense to study for the GRE now for the next 4 weeks and have a one last shot at submitting a school's above average score?

Thanks

Hi Magicien99,

If you have exhausted all your GMAT attempts, then I think you better take a shot at GRE. But, if you can still take GMAT, then I think it makes better sense to stick with GMAT as you have enough experience and knowledge with that. Having said that, you can go through the below article to understand the differences between GRE and GMAT.

GMAT vs GRE: Which is better for you?

Hope it helped. All the best!!
