Hi freyamehta,

Just to give you a rough idea, deferred MBA programs are highly competitive and especially if you're targeting GSB, you can expect an acceptance rate of around 5-6% (this is based on FT MBA since many schools do not publish deferred MBA acceptance rates).

About what these programs look for, I will distil the qualities down to four based on my experience working with applications:

1. Leadership: You must exhibit that you are a leader in your field through your past endeavours, impact and background.
2. Intellect: Since candidates do not have much work experience to show, your academics become much more important to judge your potential and intellect.
3. Character: the essence of your values and purpose
4. Mission: How you intend to make a difference in the world?

These are my two cents. Hope you get more perspective from the community. You can have a look at other deferred MBA programs here with their deadlines and criteria. It will help you get better clarity of which schools should you apply to.

You are welcome to hop on a call with me to discuss your profile in length and I will try to help you get better clarity over the schools and your chances to them. Feel free to book a free session with us as per your convenience.

Cheers!
