Hey Nikkb ,

Find out the following details of both the schools and then take the one which weighs more:

1. Tuition and living expenses (I think this will be neutral for you)
2. Your desire to live at which kind of place. Austin or Pittsburgh.
3. Alumni network.
4. More opportunities for your dream companies
5. More fun.

If you still believe it's still same on each of the factors, close your eyes and listen to your heart. Take the decision and don't think about it again. :P

All the best :)

Hello guys,

Need help in selecting the university. I checked earlier posts for these 2 universities but unable to find much details. Also people didn't mentioned why they selected a particular university.

My Profile:

Education and experience: I am a telecomm engineer with MS degree from USA. Have worked in USA based tech company for 2.5 years before moving to India.
Currently involved in family manufacturing business(not related to telecomm at all) from past 2.5 years.

Post MBA goal : Interested in technical strategy or Consulting roles

Tepper vs Mccombs : Have to spend approx same money in both univs

Will really appreciate suggestions/advices

Thanks :)

I would add other points:

1- class size (but I feel both are close)
2- take an overview of the curriculum, especially the electives.
3- If interested in exchange, study which one university could provide one semester in the country and university you love to study in.
4- Some people, like me, think in long term learning after graduation. Some schools provide this opportunity like Tuck.

Good luck
