Hi Mohit,
I'm going to help you save some money

The answer to your question is nuanced. Certifications may not matter directly to admissions committees. But what some of these certifications are able to do, is they are able to help you find more opportunities for creating impact at work - companies value these certifications and usually give you more meaty projects. When you execute on these projects, you come across as a more valuable candidate to the business school.
Now, if you are looking at this from a short term perspective, you do not have time for these certifications to percolate back and give you the experience that you would normally get as a result of having them on your CV. So for the purposes of this application cycle, these certifications may not add much value to you.
But, if you are looking at long term career growth, obtaining a certification in your area of interest would be beneficial.
So be driven by long term, rather than short term gains while choosing which certifications to pursue.
With regards to languages, knowing additional languages will definitely help you career-wise. And with applications to European (or Chinese) B-schools. I don't see this making more than a minor dent in your application to Indian B-schools. It will be to positive effect, however.
Wish you all the best,
Karthik

Hi,
I am an engineering grad working as Manager - IT Security in an Indian Govt. Bank for last 8+ years.
As of now, I am having a couple of Professional Certs like: CCNA, PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner.
Being in a Govt Bank, I don't have any foreign exposure.
I am eyeing for Indian B-Schools like IIMs, ISB, XLRI etc for a Career in FINTECH Consulting, Project Management.
My Question is - "Do Professional Certs like PMP,Certified Scrum Master,CEH, CISSP etc, help to boost MBA Profiles ?"
Secondly, having no foreign exposure should I learn a foreign language like Spanish, French maybe. Will that help ??
If Yes, then which one is more preferred by B-Schools? I have roughly 60 days to enhance my profile.
I humbly seek a clear guidance in the area as all such new Certs or foreign language training will cost money and more over precious time.
Warm Regards,
Mohit Ranjan
