Hi,

I have 2 queries -does pre-undergraduate, mandatory military service (for 2 years) count as work experience for the purpose of fulfilling US universities' MBA work experience requirements/guidelines? What about post-undergraduate internships?

Hi dits93,

As most of the global B schools consider post UG work experiences, your 2 years pre-UG experience will not fulfill B school's eligibility criteria. Post-graduation internship will be seen as an added advantage. It is always good to gain 4-5 years of full-time work experience for anyone looking for US Universities.

Hi, usually most of the US B-Schools will not consider per-Undergraduate experience as Work experience in minimum eligibility criteria. However, if you mentioned your military experience in the application (There would be a mandate option in application), they will give an additional advantage to your profile. All the best.
