Let's say that I have 4 years of work experience. In one scenario I worked for a certain company for the past 4 years (never switched jobs) and in another scenario, I worked for two different companies (switched jobs once). Will never switching jobs put a red flag for MBA schools?
Hello,
AryanAmbastha, and welcome to the forum. In either case you mentioned above, I think it will come down to what you have been doing in the time you have worked at any job. Two years of working some job that had nothing to do with your career interests might not do your application any favors; I cannot imagine four years being any better. On the other hand, four years at a job that developed your interests or sharpened your skills could be looked upon quite favorably, and maybe your devotion to the job or company would reveal something about your character, too. It comes down to the spin that you take on the situation, what you present to the admissions committee and how.
Good luck, and if you have further questions, feel free to ask.
