Hi All,

Which school do you think is a better choice for someone like me who is eyeing to get into strategy consulting at MBB. Choices: Duke- Fuqua or Cornell - Johnson or UT - McCombs

PS: I have ~ 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas working for some of the top energy companies, and I am a US permanent resident.

Probably Fuqua in terms of consulting. Fuqua has MBB recruiters on campus year-round.

Fuqua in no contest for MBB here. Unless you specifically want to work on an O&G BBM consulting desk in Houston then I would say McCombs. But, there is a lot of risk in that-not sure many blue chip e&ps going to have working cash for consulting. Maybe energy trading firms but tbd

O&G groups roll up to Energy/Utilities at top consulting firms. It’s not IB that you have to be in Texas to be a part of those groups!

Fuqua is a no brainer here!

Fuqua easily....it offers more MBB placement potential, is in a better location and has a more 'fun' MBA program...Go to Duke and never look back.
