Current Owen student here. I am not looking for opportunities in Finance so won't go into details. But, this year finance recruitment has been the strongest across all concentrations. North of 20 candidates are going for IB internship in NewYork. Around 25% of the class is going to east coast. Rest, you can confirm with career management center.

Haha.. It's been a pleasant surprise for all of us. This year recruiting has been phenomenal. Consulting has been great too. Two candidates got internship at BCG. One second year is going for Fulltime in Mckinsey. I know it's a small number for candidates looking for top-15 schools. But, Owen has done really well even though we fell in rankings.

Congrats! Two awesome programs.

While the current Owen student has provided great insight, I would first see if you can get in touch with an Emory student to share current year info as well. Traditionally (and confirmed by past employment reports) Emory has a significantly stronger presence in IB. A LinkedIn search of alumni (search "investment banking associate" for each school) will confirm this.

If Owen is on the upswing or had a strong class for IB that's fantastic, it's a great school and I agree re: Nashville! However, I wouldn't let that sway you unless you can confirm on the Emory side and I would feel more comfortable recommending the school with more historical ties that are listed on official employment reports (11% of the 2019 internship class).

Congrats on your offers and good luck!
