Dear Sir/Mam,
Thanks for your question Abhiskek! This is a great example of how you can't really cut and paste your essays from different schools as each school asks for different things. This is a bit of a refreshing different kind of question-- and it allows you to share something about yourself and reveal where your passion and interests lie. For example-- if you cared about food insecurity-- how many people are worried about what they will eat--
and IF they will eat today... you could get a stat on that-- and then have that tie into how you want to build more access to affordable food for people-- and perhaps lead into how more efficient allocation of food resources-- and your skills in supply chain-- could help. Or if you are interested in fintech-- note how many people are "unbanked" and how you want to improve that through new disruptive financial services-- and how you have the skills to do that and perhaps even how Said could help you reach that goal. The point is to pick some topic that matters to YOU and then explain how you have been involved in helping to solve this big problem. Hope that helps! We have some great resources at Stratus to help people think about their outlines and what is important in essays-- so if you want to learn how we help people do their best work-- through our challenging you and asking questions as you go through this process-- please reach out to us at this link:https://stratusadmissionscounseling.com/admissions/business-school-admissions-consulting-gmat-club-visitor/
Good luck!!
I am in the process of applying for Said MBA 2018-2019 batch.
While going through the essay topics I was very confused as to how to approach the first essay.
Request you to provide valuable insights on the below essay topic
'Consider a statistic or trend that shocks you. Why it is important to you and how could it be changed for the better?'
