Experienced!! Need some advise getting in to Ivey

Question

Hi
I have 10+years of professional experience as an Engineer after my Masters in Aerospace engineering (MS).
Currently working at UK for the pas 5 years as an Aircraft Structural analysis Engineer.
Still in Engineer level.

I would like to give a shot to do MBA to jump in to general management and leadership roles.
Having gone through number of Business school web pages, Ivey seems to be really impressive.
I will be happy to move to Canada.

Please advise me whether Ivey MBA would uplift my career providing a transition from my Engineer level to Senior management roles.

Ivey is considered as top business school in Canada. very high reputation and big alum network.

2017 entry is closed, if you have a GMAT score around April or may 17, you will have ample amount of time to prepare for your application. so that you can enter into 2018 entry

Ivey may suit you because they have one year MBA program, since you have 10 years of work ex that makes sense. And the avg work ex there is around 6-7 years so you dont feel having to much work ex.

but its very competitive to enter, if you score above 700 on GMAT you have a chance to enter in to IVEY

Hye Bala,
With your specialized domain and work experience in UK, I believe that you do have a brilliant chance of getting through Ivey. However, I would request you to answer a few questions to yourself before you apply at Ivey. 
1) You must be really clear about what you want to do post-MBA. I could not find info on this from your debrief. General Management and Leadership positions are basic sets to start with. As Ivey is a compact MBA program sans an internship option, I think this question will help you.
2) Whether your strengths complement those of Ivey? Know more about the classroom teaching styles and decide.
3) Your post MBA industry presence in Canada. If you wish to step into Consulting or Finance, you may straight away apply. However, if it is industry, kindly do a complete study.
