Maybe you can share your ESR and then the experts will weigh in.

Attached ESR for my GMAT attempts. I cancelled another test that was my second attempt. 640 (Q 47 - V 32)

Attempt 1 - 660
Attempt 2 - 640

My verbal has gone down from 38 to 29 but my Quant has gone up to 48. Only CAT's i have ever taken are official GMAT exams (i know its bad strategy but i bought manhattan tests and gmat prep tests to compensate for that this time around)

Hi mbsingh,

Here are the number of questions you got correct in every set in both of the attempts:

for more clarity:

Number of experimental questions in every set are as follows:

Quant---- 2|9....2|9......2|9.....3|10
Verbal----2|10...3|10....3|10....3|11

Ok so i attempted the test 4th time and scored 690. Am i happy ? - No, but atleast it puts me in 80% range of most schools i am planning on applying to.

690 (Q 46 , V40)
I was consistently scoring Q48 so i don't know what went wrong. I guess need to do more digging.

What changed this time around ?

For verbal
Focusing on SC intricacies and not relying solely on how the sentence sounds.
Focusing on eliminating CR options and writing it down.
Focusing on RC - reading slowly and keeping track , i still believe i could've scored even higher but i panicked looking at the timer.

For Quant
abhimahna helped me a lot in this. I am pretty sure, he's disappointed that i didn't do better. On bright side there's room for improvement.

Whats Next ?
Take a week off and try it one more time by end of November. Let's see if GMAT gods will answer my prayers this time around.

Thanks GMATNinja for all your wednesday webinars, i am pretty sure i got couple SC's right thanks to your strategy. Whenever you come to Canada (Vancouver) hit me up, drinks on me.
Thanks abhimahna for keeping me up at night (for studies obviously). Your help surely paid off, i owe you a party man. Lets get into our dream schools and spend admit weekend in vegas ;)
Thanks bb. Can't thank you enough brother, you've created this community thats helping shape people's lives. You can name my 7th child (anything you want). :P
Thanks broall , your LSAT CR topic helped me a lot and it was fun practising those questions.
Thanks Bunuel dude/dudette/android I wish had half your Quant brain power. But i guess, don't wish for it instead work for it. So i am gonna follow your posts and try to improve it even more.

Nice work on the Verbal section. As for Quant, it's just a matter of fine tuning your skills!

Q49 is definitely doable for you(considering that you have scored a Q48 in the past)
Just try and exhaust the questions in the GMATClub tests and focus on the learning of why you get a question wrong.
That must surely do the trick for you. All the best for your next attempt

Thanks man, thats the plan. Tweak quant prep and get to Q50 and raise verbal by 1 or 2 points.
