I inherently went for B but could you please explain the correct placement of modifier here?

option B is correct

Quote:
B. He ended up selling life insurance for around 15 years for Canada Life, the only place he could find work, selling mainly to former union members and colleagues.

The only place he could find work - this is clearly modifying Canada life

selling mainly to former union members and colleagues- this is clearly modifying the Work(what type of work)

We can take B as the answer with a pinch of salt if we believe that 'Canada Life' is a place rather than a company. What else to do?
