Amber Janke
Amber Janke, Director of MBA Admissions, has been with the University of Washington - Foster School of Business since 2016. She has worked in higher education for over 15 years at universities in California and New York. She obtained her Master degree in Higher Education Administration from NYU. A native of Washington state, Amber was excited to return to the Pacific Northwest with her husband in 2016, and enjoys the Seattle rain and sunshine, long summer days, and University of Washington’s beautiful campus. She is inspired by the Foster MBA students’ collaborative culture and feels lucky to be part of the Foster community.
Format:
After a short presentation, the Foster admissions committee will be conducting Q&A on YouTube Live with GMAT Club. To join the event, set a reminder on YouTube for this event

Hey there!
I am considering the Foster's full time MBA program, 2022. I want to transition from a business development/sales role to a marketing analyst or brand manager role. Would this program help me achieve this goal? The location of the university is also really important to me as it will play a significant role in my OPT opportunities. Does the city of Seattle provide such valuable opportunities to gain employment in these fields?

1. What is compelling about full time MBA program at Foster compared to that of other B schools in the west like Stanford, Haas, UCLA?
2. Would you say Foster MBA is good for a particular career path like Product Management or Consulting?
3. Can international applicants take a campus tour before/during admission process? Would there be any classroom sessions that we can attend and experience?
4. Previously Foster preferred to maintain a smaller classroom strength. Is it still the same and does this make it more challenging for international applicants?
5. Does Foster follow strict baseline while evaluating GMAT and TOEFL scores of the applicants?
