SabitB
Hi,
I am currently working as a scientist in biotech in Boston MA and have, this year, started shifting my interest towards the business side of things. I would like to in the future have a job in Business Development and so, build companies in the healthcare industry. I started getting into the idea of doing an MBA this fall and so I started working towards the GMAT. I also applied in September to Babson College which allowed me to waiver the GMAT. I just received news that I got a scholarship from them which would cover my whole tuition. My dilemma is accept this full ride? Or continue with the preparation and apply round 3 for top tier colleges?
SabitB - well done on the Babson admit and waiver!
I would suggest looking at the % of alumni in your target roles and geographies, and potentially speaking to some Babson alums to understand the scene, recruitments etc. LinkedIn outreaches can help.
Applying in Round 3 is not ideal, however, if your overall profile is strong and/ or you belong to an underrepresented applicant pool, and if you feel another program is more aligned to your career goals, it could be considered. Scholarships in R3 are rare though: something to keep in mind.
Hope this helps a bit. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to have a chat.
