Good luck everyone, assuming good news, do they provide a guide for transportation suggestions for on-campus interviews? I'd be flying out of NYC, and trying not to spend too much money.

I'm pretty sure they send you driving directions to campus based on where you're coming from. I rented a car because I was staying over night, so I can comment on that experience.

Pros:
+ Since I was staying at a hotel overnight, it was cheaper than taking multiple taxis to and from RDU Airport.
+ I was "in charge" of my schedule and could come/go as I pleased. Didn't have to wait for a taxi to come to campus.

Cons:
- Wasn't really sure where I was going. Took me a while to find the business school.
- Parking isn't easy.

No problem! Happy to help.

I stayed at a hotel based on price(Quality Inn and Suites). It was $198.17 for two nights including car rental from Thrifty, nothing special but got the job done. I flew down the weekend they had a snow storm in Philly, got delayed until Monday morning, so unfortunately I didn't have time to experience much since I got to campus 1 hr before my interview and left early the next morning.

Thanks! It was initially my first choice, especially since I'm NYC-based already. But I work in the energy industry and Fuqua's program is really top notch. I also haven't received my financial aid offer from CBS yet. Hopefully I'll need to make a tough decision soon.

I think that's me--I looked through the thread and saw people posting invites with a time stamp around noon for r1. Didn't think about the time zone, though. I guess the time stamps for posts here are on central time...or that's what I'm seeing, at least. So 2 p.m. EST sounds right. Sorry for the confusion everyone!
