Hi there,
Nice job in getting your round 1 apps in! Hopefully you’re starting hear about interview invitations soon, if you haven’t already.
So you asked about your chances of admission to your list schools – and unfortunately, it’s not a formula. It’s much more art than science. Your application is considered as a total package and no singular factor is a certain deal-breaker or silver bullet. As I’m sure you know, your GMAT is a bit below average for some of your schools and your years of work experience is a bit high for full-time MBA programs. With that said, those factors can be mitigated elsewhere in your application, namely in your essays and letters of recommendation. So I would make sure those work really hard for you.
Honestly, I wouldn’t waste your time trying to determine yours chances of admission to the schools you already applied to. You’ll have your answer soon enough
For your round 2 strategy, I would urge you to consider a range of schools whose class profile is aligned to yours as much as possible. Ross and UCLA may be a bit of a stretch (not that you shouldn’t apply) but Carnegie-Mellon seems reasonable given the information you provided about your profile.
Best of luck with your round 2 applications! If you’d like to chat further about your round 2 strategy, I’m happy to set up a call. You can PM me or sign up for a free consultation through our website.
Best,
Melody
