Thank you for bringing it up.
I suggest you look at the rankings here that are dynamic: top100-users-cr
The top 10 is cached and takes a bit of time to refresh - to prevent server overload and that causes some of the duplication when you are on the cusp of top 10.

Thank you for reporting this - could you let me know if you see the same issue still 24 hours since you have checked it last time? I understand there may be a delay due to cache/recalculation that takes place on a daily basis.

Hi bb,

Nice feature to motivate and keep people on track. However, it would have been even better, if the Top 10 rankers overall or in any topic get resources such as Tests(Full or Section wise) or Kudos etc.

You can also include a badge and different window color for the Top rankers.

This would greatly motivate people and increase the Participation rate.

Further, can you please post the criterion by which points are assigned when a question is completed e.g Difficulty of the question, Kudos earned, etc etc. in a forum.

Your ranking system is extremely good. It is actually creating a competitive feeling. Now, I am focusing on beating everyone on every topic. This is gonna make me move more towards my dream score. You people are awesome. :)

Some reward system can be devised like giving free test or advisory session for particular individuals basis this.


Thank you - Yes. that's a natural next steps and we are trying to figure out/determine how to best do that. Welcome suggestions for the reward basis e.g. top 10 for a week = access for x days to GMAT Club tests OR something else? :)

I think it would be better if one could convert his points into Kudos or get extra features . Badges seem pretty cool, but if we could use these points, it would be awesome.

Hi.... this was the humble beginnings of the GMAT Club Rewards system.
To answer your question - no, there are no tangible benefits to being within the top 10 for a section or overall besides getting a badge. However, what the program allows you to figure out is how you compare to others and where you stand in terms of your forum participation and usage of the timer/forum resources, so it is not entirely useless ;-)
