That’s a solid accuracy rate, but the best way to truly understand your percentile standing is by taking an official GMAT mock. The adaptive algorithm will give you a clearer picture of how your accuracy translates to score bands.

Try taking an official practice test from mba.com—only then can you gauge how your accuracy translates under time pressure and adaptive scoring. Your OG performance is encouraging though!

Instead of focusing on just accuracy, consider applying the "streak method"—track how often you get 5+ questions right in a row. It’s a good indicator of upward momentum in adaptive testing.

Use the streak tracking method: record consecutive correct answers in each difficulty tier. If you’re consistently hitting streaks at the 655–705 level, you’re likely in a good shape for upper 600s scoring.

Hi shehzadboghani02,

I agree that it's tough to say exactly, so I agree that the move is to take a full-length practice exam. When do you plan on taking one?

Ultimately, taking an official mock from the MBA website could be helpful to get a sense how you may perform on an actual exam (including your performance on the individual sections).

I am 70% done with TTP course. I will take my first OG mock after I complete the course in a month or two. I was just curious if I could get an understanding of my current skill level before then.

I honestly would not worry about it. Just focus on getting through TTP and then take a practice test.

Just curious how long have you been working on the TTP course to complete 70% of it?

With your exact count of hours spent, You have traits of an outstanding accountant. :P

On serious note, It's not the number of hours spent that matters, It's usually about effective hours spent.

I would say that you have already exceeded quota by prepping for 6 months. The prep time in ideal case should be limited to 12 weeks (3 months)

However, It's time to you take Mock tests (I mean official Mock tests from mba.com) and check where you stand.

Taking the mock tests is important before you make the prep an infinite un-ending loop.

I hope this motivates you to take a step closer to actual test and drawing a parallel line with it.

Happy to help!

:)

You mentioned that you were at 80% accuracy on 655-705 level questions. There must be some variation across Q, V and DI?

The more you look at your accuracy by Section and Sub Topic, the more actionable it is. You can focus your efforts on practice in those sub areas while you're completing TTP's structured program.

This is a good accuracy rate. As suggested by others, try to take full length adaptive mock tests. Another thing I would suggest is to see how it stands in the next level because if you get these right, you will be see the next level questions and that accuracy will also contribute to overall score/percentile.

All the best!

My accuracy in the 655-705 level OG guide questions on GMATClub is around 80%. Where does this put my skill level at in terms of percentile?
