Thanks for clarifying. I guess irrespective of the difficulty i should focus on getting more questions correct
Yes, even mocks are good for strategy, like how to allocate your time depending on the question, and how to strategize whether to attempt or to leave and come back after attempting all.

My tips:

Always focus on OG first then on GMAT Club. This is more than sufficient for the GMAT.

Take the mock test in a very relaxed way. Mock test questions are unreal.

Thanks for sharing tips, “unreal” as in? They don’t emulate actual questions in the real test?

Never

During my time, I took 2 random mock tests...the score was 680 & 690 .. but in the real GMAT exam, I got 740 ..so mock tests are always a promotional strategy to increase the sales.

True mock tests are on mba.com (official website. I guess the first 2 mocks r free)

Might be due to experimental questions..mocks don’t have them so they can be more punitive

gmat-club-olympics-rectangle-given-above-is-divided-into-eight-square-366938.html

Some people on reddit have been saying that questions on GMAT have become difficult than usual. Is this true? Did anyone who gave their test recently experience this?

Just curious, would getting the answer to the question make any difference in your prep? I would say the answer to level of difficulty is very relative.

I gave a mock yesterday and didn’t find the questions too difficult for a matter of fact i would say it was in line with the official mocks

Guys, need help with the following: I have attempted the quants sectional test as well as the full length test on GMAT Club and vs the Official, I have scored considerably lower. Now the funny part is, when I solve it again, with the timer, I am able to solve the question easily. But when it’s under time pressure, I get stuck. Earlier, I used to miss out on key words which I have solved for now. But the problem I am facing is that, if, under time pressure, the question does not get solved in one shot, I get stuck and do waste a good amount of time there. Any help or advice would be really appreciated.

I understand and have faced the same issue in the past.
I would suggest keeping a hard stop with a timer of 2.5 minutes because that’s how you train your brain. Also, since algebra consumes a lot of time, try using the plug-in method and pattern recognition, which can be developed through practice.

Is there any sub topic where you are getting stuck?

I usually get stuck in lengthy word problems and Time Speed Distance. Thanks for the advice. Plugging in is something that I attempt but putting a hard timer has not resulted in much success for me. I will still keep at it.

Its more from a fact where you need to get used to it

Where more you solve the questions you understand the patterns and solve them in a easier manner when you solve them next

Distance and time is something I still face some issue with but I have been gradually improving them by using more logical thinking and using plug in after forming an equation.
